Jason Hicks Graduates From Leadership Lakes Region

Jason Hicks, Vice President of Finance/Controller at MVSB, graduated from Leadership Lakes Region on May 20.

Leadership Lakes Region was founded in 1996 in an effort to foster stronger civic awareness and volunteerism in the community. Participants learn about the history and culture of the Lakes Region in addition to the economic, political, social and educational issues unique to the area. Hicks is among eight other MVSB employees to graduate from the program since its inception 14 years ago.

"We’re pleased to see Jason achieve distinction as a graduate of the Leadership Lakes Region program," said Rick Wyman, MVSB’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "This experience has enhanced Jason’s knowledge and leadership skills, and we’re excited to see him put those new lessons to excellent use in his role at MVSB and in our community."

Hicks joined MVSB just over a year ago when he and his family moved to Meredith from North Carolina. As an active Habitat for Humanity supporter, he was excited to pursue volunteer activities here in the Lakes Region. He has since become the treasurer for the Center Harbor Congregational Church, participated in the United Way Day of Caring, and supported local Red Cross blood drives. Hicks is looking forward to new opportunities to serve the communities of the Lakes Region.

As Vice President of Finance/Controller, Hicks oversees the Bank’s financial reporting system and annual budget. He also supervises MVSB’s accounting department and serves as EVP/CFO Wyman’s backup in investment management and treasury duties.
