Sharing your message
We are always happy to help local non-profits share information about their organizations and special events whenever possible. Please reach out to mvsbmarketing@mvsb.com for assistance with the following:
- Presence on our digital signs outside our branches in Meredith’s main office, Rochester and Laconia. Per local regulation, Rochester and Laconia can have graphic messages with color and pictures. Meredith can only be text with no color.
- Inclusion on our digital signs in all of our branch offices. Nonprofits can select the locations where they would like their message to run. Many regular users simply send us a PowerPoint slide – it’s the exact right size for the screens and software.
- Distribution of dollar bill sized cash-envelope stuffers with the money & receipts for each customer in the lobby or drive-up. Again, this is available at the location(s) of the nonprofits’ choice.
- Inclusion on the magnetic community board available at each branch office.
- Re-sharing of your posts on social media. We are on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Please Note: that we cannot promote lotteries or religious or political messages. Other restrictions may apply.

Interest on Lawyer’s Trust Accounts (IOLTA)
The IOLTA program was created in 1982 when a NH Supreme Court ruling began requiring attorneys to maintain a pooled interest-bearing trust account for clients’ funds which were nominal in amount or to be held for a short period of time. Under Supreme Court Rule 50, the interest generated in those accounts was required to be transferred to the New Hampshire Bar Foundation for charitable purposes. Since its inception, the IOLTA program has raised more than $28 million to help provide legal services to New Hampshire citizens who are struggling to overcome poverty.
To be designated as a Leadership Bank by the NH Bar Foundation, MVSB must pay 2% or higher interest on IOLTAs, exceed the bank’s standard NOW account rate, and waive routine service charges.
Meredith Village Savings Bank Fund Grant Awards
The MVSB Fund makes grants every year to local nonprofits that make a significant impact upon the lives of people in the communities we serve. These grants are in addition to the Bank’s regular contributions and the extraordinary volunteer efforts by our employees.
Established in 1997, the MVSB Fund awards grant-based contributions to nonprofit organizations that enrich and improve the quality of life for residents living in the Bank’s service areas. Since then, 486 grants totaling $1,928,748 have been awarded to a wide range of environmental, social, educational and historic projects throughout the Greater Lakes Region, Plymouth and Seacoast areas.
Over the years, the Fund has supported literacy programs, after-school programs, environmental monitoring as well as education and restoration of historic structures, organizations that provide support for individuals and families in challenging circumstances and equipment that helps save lives. While not focused on a particular category, Fund administrators are mindful of the receiving organization and its contribution to the quality of life in the communities served.
“Each year, grants from the MVSB Fund help our local nonprofit organizations make meaningful improvements, add programming and simply keep up with demand, which has been especially challenging in recent years,” said Marcus Week, MVSB President. “We are grateful to our local non-profits for the quality services they bring to local individuals and families and we are proud to extend our support with this funding.”
To become an MVSB Fund Grant Recipient, apply now.
