Richard E. WymanRick Wyman serves as MVSB’s President as well as and Executive Vice President for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB). In these roles he is responsible for oversight of MVSB. Rick was appointed President from Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp. Prior to joining MVSB, Rick served as an Executive Officer and CFO for several Maine-based banks and has over thirty years of experience in senior leadership as a Chief Financial Officer for banks ranging from local community mutual banks to a publicly traded multi-bank holding company. His areas of expertise include, bank operations, technology conversions, risk management, audit, compliance, retail banking, human resources, treasury functions, mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting and shareholder relations. Rick’s past community involvement includes being Treasurer, Chair of the Finance committee, and Board member at Genesis Behavioral Health. He has also served on the CFO Advisory Committee for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston; Lakes Region Board of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation Board and State Fiscal Policy Committee; the Board of Trustees for the Spaulding Youth Center; Laconia Main Street project; the Lakes Region United Way; Board of Directors of the Belknap County Economic Development Council and as a Laconia Middle School Soccer Coach. He is a graduate and past Board Member of Leadership Lakes Region, as well as a graduate of Leadership New Hampshire. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from the University of Maine and is a graduate of the banking program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Jason C. Hicks
Chief Financial Officer, New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp

In his role as and Chief Financial Officer for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, Jason is responsible for the development of financial policies, strategic plans, business goals, asset and liability management, current and contingent liquidity management, and investment strategies for Meredith Village Savings Bank, Merrimack County Savings Bank, MillRiver Wealth Management and the Bancorp. Jason joined MVSB in 2009 as Vice President of Finance/Controller following an extensive career in public accounting, commercial and community banking. In 2013 he was promoted to Corporate Treasurer and Investment Officer for both MVSB and the Merrimack. In 2014, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Corporate Treasurer and Investment Officer. Jason currently serves as Chair and previously as Treasurer on the Board of Laconia Area Community Land Trust, Vice President of the Board for Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity and was previously the Treasurer for Center Harbor Congregational Church. Jason received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Accounting from the University of North Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant for the State of New Hampshire.

Philip B. Emma

Philip EmmaPhilip B. Emma serves as Executive Vice President and President of both Merrimack County Savings Bank and MillRiver Wealth Management. Phil joined the Bank on January 2, 2013 as part of the affiliation of MVSB with The Merrimack. He originally joined The Merrimack in 2000 as Senior Vice President, CFO and Treasurer and held that position until his promotion to EVP in 2008 adding the COO duties in 2010. In 2006, upon the formation of the Merrimack Bancorp, MHC, Phil was elected CFO and Treasurer. A graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, with a B.S. Degree in Accounting, Phil became a Certified Public Accountant and as of today he remains a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Following obtaining his degree, he worked in public accounting for eight years with Dana S. Beane Jr. & Co. in Laconia and Ernst & Young in Manchester. He then entered the banking field first with New Hampshire Savings Bank as Vice President & Controller in a publicly traded multi-bank environment. Subsequently, he held financial positions at Park Construction, CFX Corporation and Citizens Bank New Hampshire prior to joining The Merrimack. Altogether, he has 36 years of experience in financial and operational roles within private and public companies. Professionally, Phil has played a significant role with the American Bankers Association’s accounting group on projects such as purchase accounting for mutual to mutual mergers, representing the Mutual Advisory Council which included lengthy discussions with regulatory agencies and the Financial Accounting Standard Board, and most recently, on a liquidity manual for banks. Phil volunteers his time as Board and Finance Committee Member for Riverbend Community Mental Health in Concord, White Birch Community Center in Henniker and Second Start in Concord, where he previously served as Board President. He is the Past Treasurer, Board Member and Corporator for Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury and Past Chairman and Board Member for Mount Kearsage Indian Museum. Phil also previously served as a Board Member for New Hampshire Social Welfare Council and was active in Capital City Rotary between 1986 and 1991 and in the Monadnock Region Rotary between 1991 and 1998.

Robert R. Sargeant
Executive Vice President / Senior Commercial Lending Officer, Meredith Village Savings Bank

Robert R. SargeantBob Sargeant serves as Executive Vice President and Senior Commercial Lending Officer, managing the Bank’s Commercial Lending team. He also serves on the Bank’s Loan Review, CRA, Risk, Information Security, Pricing, Compliance, Total Quality Management, and Asset Liability committees. Bob joined MVSB in 2000 as Vice President/Commercial Lender after a 25-year career at The Pemigewasset National Bank, including 13 years as Vice President and Senior Loan Officer. He was promoted to Vice President/Senior Commercial Lender in January 2009 and to Senior Vice President later that year.  He was promoted to his current role in 2014. Sargeant is a member of the Board of Directors and the Loan Committee at the Belknap County Economic Development Council. He previously served the community as a Board member on the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce for more than 12 years. He also served on the Waterville Valley Region Chamber of Commerce and has been active in the business community in the Plymouth area. Shortly after coming to MVSB, Sargeant completed a commercial banking and lending program at the prestigious Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University.

Carol Bickford
Senior Vice President / Retail Lending Officer,
New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp

Carol BickfordCarol Bickford serves as Senior Vice President of Retail Lending for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, supporting lending at both MVSB and Merrimack County Savings Bank. In this capacity, she directs all retail lending and loan processing activities for both banks and is responsible for the development and implementation of new lending products, services, and programs. An integral part of the Banks’ Senior Management teams, Bickford serves on the Compliance, Risk, Information Security, Total Quality Management, and Asset Liability committees. Carol joined the lending team at MVSB in 1983 and quickly moved up through the ranks, holding positions including Mortgage Secretary, Loan Supervisor, Mortgage Loan Interviewer, Loan Officer, and Assistant Vice President/Loan Officer. She was promoted to Vice President in 1999, to Senior Vice President in 2009, and her role was expanded to oversee retail lending for both MVSB and the Merrimack in 2014. An active volunteer in her community, Carol is a current member of the New Hampshire Bankers Mortgage Committee and has previously served as a Board Member for Laconia Area Community Land Trust and the Lakes Region United Way.  She has involved with several past projects with the Town of Meredith, including an update of the town’s Master Plan. Carol attended New Hampshire College for Business and is a graduate of the banking program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

David Cronin
Senior Vice President / Human Resources Officer,
New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp

David CroninDavid Cronin serves as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, supporting MVSB, Merrimack County Savings Bank, MillRiver Wealth Management and the Bancorp. In this capacity he is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plans and strategic direction of the Bank. He joined MVSB in 2008 as Vice President of Human Resources with more than 25 years of experience. He was promoted to his current position in 2009. Cronin started his career at W.B. Hunt Company in Malden, MA, where he rose through the ranks for 23 years before accepting a position as Vice President of Human Resources at Northway Financial in 2000. David is also a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Human Resources Association of Greater Concord, NH. David is a graduate of Merrimack College in Massachusetts.

Christine Harris
Senior Vice President / Retail Banking Services Officer,
Meredith Village Savings Bank

Christine HarrisChristine Harris serves as MVSB’s Senior Vice President of Retail Banking. She is responsible for overseeing all of MVSB’s branch networks, investment services and business development. Christine acts as the primary developer of overall policies, programs, objectives, and goals in the Bank’s retail department. She also ensures the development and implementation of new deposit products, as well as retail services. Christine joined the Bank as the Assistant Vice President in 2005, with more than 17 years of banking experience, including several years as Branch Manager and Business Development Manager for Bank of New Hampshire’s (now TD Bank) Alton branch. She was promoted to Vice President of Retail Administration in 2006 and into her current role as Senior Vice President of Retail Banking in 2009. She has taken on many roles in the community and currently serves as Chair for the Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee for the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors of the Lakes Region Sled Dog Club. She is a past recipient of the Chamber’s Ambassador of the Year Award. Christine holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

Cynthia A. Hemeon-Plessner
Senior Vice President / Marketing Officer,

Cynthia A. Hemeon-PlessnerCindy Hemeon-Plessner serves as Senior Vice President and Marketing Officer for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp leading marketing at Meredith Village Savings Bank, MillRiver Wealth Management, Merrimack County Savings Bank and the Bancorp. In this role, she is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategy; gathering and analyzing data to create products and services that best meet the needs of the customers and community the bank serves; serving as Trustee of the James D. Sutherland Memorial Scholarship; and managing the marketing department. Cindy joined MVSB as Electronic Marketing Coordinator in December 2006, bringing more than 12 years of sales and marketing experience. She was instrumental in the launch of the Bank’s website and was promoted to Special Projects Coordinator in January 2008. She was promoted to Marketing Officer in November 2008, Assistant Vice President in October of 2009 and Vice President in August 2010. Cindy was promoted to her current role in 2014.  A native of Laconia, Cindy is a member of the advisory board at Prescott Farm Environmental Center, St Paul’s School Advanced Studies Program Alumni Interviewer and is President of the Board of Directors for Lakes Region Child Care Services. She is 2009 alumni of Leadership Lakes Region, and has volunteered with many local non-profits in recent years including the Laconia Endowment Education Foundation (LEEF), the PTA’s at Woodland Heights School and Gilford School District, Lakes Region United Way, Parents and Children Together (PACT), and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Cindy was a member of the 2010-2011 Deluxe Collaborative, which is made up of financial services executives with the vision to explore topics critical to banking. She graduated from the George Washington University in 1990, holds a graduate degree in education from Franklin Pierce University and has completed graduate level business coursework. She is currently attending the American Bankers’ Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Arthur J. Letendre

Art Letendre serves as Senior Vice President and Consumer Loan Officer for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, managing day to day Consumer Loan Operations for Meredith Village Savings Bank and Merrimack County Savings Bank.  In this role, he oversees the processing and underwriting of consumer loans and home equity loans and lines of credit.  This includes loans sold directly to consumers or through dealerships. Art has over 30 years of banking experience and extensive work in the area of consumer lending.  Art joined The Merrimack in 2002 and helped the Bank build an indirect lending program.   In 2013, he was promoted to oversee consumer lending at both The Merrimack and MVSB and in 2014 he was promoted to Senior Vice President.  A dedicated Concord resident and volunteer, Art is a member of the Granite United Way Community Impact Committee for Merrimack County and serves as Chair of the Granite United Way Financial Review Committee for Merrimack County.  Art is also a member of the Concord Family YMCA Board of Directors and Finance Committee and is a 2009 Graduate of the Concord Leadership Class. Art received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from St Anselm’s College, his Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and attended the New England School of Banking at Williams College.

Joanne Pearce
Senior Vice President / Risk Management Officer,
New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp

Joanne PearceJoanne Pearce serves as Senior Vice President, Risk Management Officer for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, supporting Meredith Village Savings Bank, MillRiver Wealth Management, Merrimack County Savings Bank and the Bancorp. In this capacity, she ensures that sufficient management resources, software programs, and controls are in place to effectively identify, measure, and monitor risks to the Bank. She is also responsible for the Banks’ enterprise risk management, disaster recovery, information and physical security and compliance policies and standards.  She serves as chair of the Banks’ Information Security and Risk Management Committees and provides oversight to the Compliance Committee. Pearce joined MVSB in May 2002 as an Information Security Specialist and was promoted to Security Manager later that year. In 2004 she was promoted to Assistant Vice President/Risk Manager. In 2006 she was promoted to Vice President/Risk Manager and in 2009, she was promoted to her current role. Prior to joining MVSB, Pearce worked in Boston and Washington D.C. in banking and software consulting. She is a member of the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army in Laconia and has previously worked on the organizing committee for the Lakes Region Chapter of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. A graduate of Trinity College in Washington, D.C., Pearce also holds a Master of Business Administration in Management of Global Information Technology and International Marketing from American University’s Kogod School of Business and is a graduate of the advanced program at the American Bankers’ Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the Wharton School of Business.

Angela M. Strozewski

Angela Strozewski serves as Senior Vice President, Operations Officer for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, supporting Meredith Village Savings Bank and Merrimack County Savings Bank.  In this capacity she is responsible for overseeing Loan Operations, Deposit Operations and Collections. Angela is a member of the senior management team as well as various other management committees. Angela has 24 years of experience in financial and operational roles within the organization.  She joined The Merrimack in 1990 as a bookkeeper and as her career progressed she served several roles in the Finance department including Financial Accounting Officer, Assistant Vice President – Assistant Treasurer and Vice President – Controller.  In 2011, Angela was promoted to Vice President, Operations and Reporting and was responsible for Finance, Loan Operations, Deposit Operations and Collections.  In 2013, as part of the affiliation of The Merrimack and MVSB, Angela assumed responsibility for overseeing Deposit and Loan Operations and Collections for both banks.  She was promoted to her current role in 2014.  Angela received her Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Franklin Pierce University.  She is also a graduate of Northern New England School of Banking and the New England School of Financial Studies.

Steven Tucker
Senior Vice President / Information Technology Officer,
New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp

Steven TuckerSteve Tucker serves as Senior Vice President of Information Technology for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, supporting Meredith Village Savings Bank, MillRiver Wealth Management, Merrimack County Savings Bank and the Bancorp. He is responsible for technology strategic planning, maintaining a bank-wide technology plan as well and managing computer systems and network resources. He is also responsible for evaluating, acquiring, and implementing new software applications based on the Banks’ needs. Tucker joined MVSB in February of 1998 as the Manager of Information Services. Later that year, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Information Services. He was then named a Senior Officer in January of 1999. He was promoted to his current role in 2009. Prior to joining the Bank, Tucker held management positions at New Hampshire Savings Bank, Concord Savings Bank, and Exeter Hospital. Tucker graduated from the New England School of Banking at Williams College in 2005 in the top 10 percent of his class.
