Local photographer Jon Secord has committed to contribute 25% of his photography sales between the period of November 15 and December 15 to Genesis Behavioral Health (Genesis). MVSB has agreed to match his donation up to $5,000 to help support the efforts of Genesis Behavioral Health in the Lakes Region. Last year, Secord raised $225 for Genesis during the holiday season. Wolfeboro Carwash and Executive Detail, located within Clarke Plaza in Wolfeboro, recently purchased and installed new carwash equipment with financing from MVSB. The business added a new Ryko SoftGloss Maxx friction/touch carwash and upgraded their existing touchless carwash system to a two-step presoak for enhanced cleaning. Along with these equipment upgrades, they have also realigned their carwash menu to offer more value to their customers. The Book of the Month program was developed to encourage folks of all ages to pursue the joy of reading and benefit from the variety of learning and creative opportunities available from all types of books. WOW Trail Tax Credit Support
MVSB recently purchased $5,000 in tax credits through the Community Development Investment Program (CDIP) in support of the WOW Trail in Laconia. The MVSB Fund is accepting grant applications through October 15, 2014. Established in 1997, the MVSB Fund awards grants annually to local nonprofits that make a significant impact upon the communities the bank serves. Since its inception, 248 grants totaling more than $971,922 have been awarded to a wide range of environmental, social, educational, and historic projects throughout the Lakes Region and Plymouth areas. Industry experts and news sources have reported that Home Depot may have fallen victim to a data breach and that sensitive information such as debit and credit card numbers may have been targeted.
