The Laconia Youth Soccer League has been giving kids in the local Lakes Region communities the opportunity to learn soccer in a fun and engaging environment for more than 30 years. But a few months before the season started in August this year, League volunteers discovered all their equipment had been contaminated and damaged by mold caused by a leak in their storage location. “We discovered that the cost to replace the equipment was $12,000,” said Laura Dunn, Laconia Youth Soccer League President. “The City of Laconia stepped in to help cover some of the costs and repair the facility.
