MVSB recently completed solar energy installations at its Portsmouth and Rochester branch offices as part of its continued commitment to sustainability. Work will soon begin on additional installations in Laconia and the Seneca Ladd Building in Meredith. The project is expected to reduce electricity costs over time while lowering the organization’s environmental impact. The effort is part of a broader initiative by New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB), the shared services organization that supports MVSB, to integrate renewable energy solutions across multiple properties throughout the state. MVSB is proud to support Kidworks Learning Center through the purchase of $25,000 in New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) tax credits. The funding will help the nonprofit childcare center complete critical facility improvements that will expand access to quality, affordable childcare for families throughout the Lakes Region. Kidworks Learning Center will use the tax credit funding to install a new exterior foundation drainage system and ADA-accessible ramp to address critical health and safety concerns impacting its ability to serve children and families.
