We are pleased to announce that MVSB has signed on as an Official Sponsor for the 2015 Artisans on the Green crafts and art festival, hosted by Sandwich Home Industries, a League of New Hampshire Craftsmen enterprise. The event will take place on August 6 from 10:00am through 4:30pm as part of the Town of Sandwich’s Old Home week.
Artisans on the Green is held annually on the Quimby Town Greens in Center Sandwich and features over 50 local artisans. Throughout the day attendees will enjoy demonstrations and displays of handcrafted art and will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of arts and crafts at the event’s fine arts store. Admission and parking are free of charge and a luncheon will be served by the Sandwich Women’s Club, with proceeds going to the organization’s educational scholarship program.
“What makes this festival so unique is that visitors have the opportunity to engage with talented local artisans as they demonstrate and explain the labor and talent that goes into creating each piece they make,” said Peter K Van Winkle, President of Sandwich Home Industries. “It is an event we look forward to hosting in our community each year and we are thrilled to have the support of so many local partners, like Meredith Village Savings Bank.”

A founding member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, the Sandwich Home Industries has been supporting artisans and providing crafts education for over 80 years. Although it has grown and expanded over the years, the Center Sandwich League of NH Craftsmen Gallery, as the Industries shop is known today, continues its tradition of supporting craftsmen locally and across NH.
