Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) is asking Portsmouth locals to vote for the nonprofit that enriches the city the most. Votes are being collected at the bank’s Portsmouth office on 2839 Lafayette Road on Route 1, across from the Beach Plum restaurant. MVSB will present $1000 to the nonprofit that receives the most votes, and will award $100 cash prizes to five randomly selected ballot entrants.
As votes are collected through the end of June, the MVSB Portsmouth office will also host an in-branch event with several local nonprofits on June 29, 2018. Guests that arrive any time from 10 AM until 1 PM will receive an opportunity to learn more about the organizations, and have a final chance to vote for their favorite nonprofit.
Celebrating its 150th anniversary next year, MVSB’s success can be traced back to an unyielding commitment to improving the economic health and well-being of the communities it impacts.
“Since the Bank was founded nearly 150 years ago, we’ve always been committed to supporting our local community,” said Rick Wyman, Meredith Village Savings Bank President. “This contest is an opportunity for residents, volunteers and the working population of Portsmouth to support charitable organizations that move them.”
“What an exciting opportunity for the nonprofits in town as well as the voters,” said Jim Carrigan, Assistant Vice President, Branch and Business Development Manager, who oversees the Portsmouth office. “We’re hoping to use this contest as a way to elevate our level of service. It’s an inroad to building more meaningful relationships with locals so that we are better able to address their specific needs.”
Full contest rules can be found on MVSB’s website at mvsb.com/portsmouthcontest.
