Before she even attended college, Dr. Amanda Flagg knew it was her dream to one day open her own veterinary clinic. That dream became a reality in January when she opened Veterinary Urgent Care of New Hampshire in West Ossipee. At the clinic, Dr. Flagg and her Practice Manager & Head Technician, Megan Witt, work closely together to provide compassionate urgent care and emergency services for cats, dogs and other animals.
Dr. Flagg partnered with Megan Ryder, MVSB Vice President Commercial Loan Officer, to find the right business financing option to fit her needs. She also received guidance and financing from the Wentworth Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) and the Small Business Association (SBA).
“When I began this journey, I did my research and found a need for our services in this community as well as the surrounding Mount Washington Valley and Northern Lakes Region areas,” said Dr. Flagg. “We have received the warmest welcome and couldn’t be more appreciative of all the support sent our way. MVSB has been a wonderful partner through this process and we couldn’t thank Megan enough for being there with us every step of the way.”
“Supporting local businesses and helping local communities thrive is at the heart of who we are at MVSB,” said Megan. “It has been wonderful to see Dr. Flagg’s vision come to life and we are excited to continue to support her and watch her business grow. The work she is doing for these local communities is vitally important and we are proud to play a role in that effort.”
Dr. Flagg graduated from North Carolina State University and has been practicing veterinary medicine for more than seven years.
