Gather is leveraging tax credits from the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority to renovate the nonprofit’s new 18,000 square-foot space in Portsmouth. The organization provides nutritious food and prepared meals to those experiencing hunger on the New Hampshire Seacoast up to Maine, and the new space will increase their service capacity with an expanded warehouse, pantry, dining space and more. MVSB was proud to purchase $25,000 in tax credits to support their efforts.
“We are so excited to be in the new facility, which will allow us to increase the number of people we serve, as well as to offer community meals, educational programs, workforce training, and more all under one roof,” said Anne Hayes, Gather Executive Director. “We have received so much support from the community, and we could not be more grateful.”
“Gather plays such a vital role in ensuring that individuals and families in our region have access to healthy, nutritious food,” said Jim Carrigan, MVSB Regional Vice President. “We are proud to support their vision for this new space, which will allow them to expand their reach and deepen their impact across the Seacoast.”
Gather‘s mission is to offer innovative programs that build food security in welcoming and dignified ways. Go to gathernh.org to learn more.
