On Friday, May 1, professional moose handlers will be on site with native New Hampshire bull moose at our Ashland, North Conway, and Portsmouth offices.
Everyone is invited to stop by from 1 to 3 p.m. to meet these towering locals and snap a few photos. If you are feeling adventurous, you can even enjoy a complimentary two-minute ride. Each moose will be harnessed and guided by a handler to help ensure a safe experience.
“I’ve seen so many moose around New Hampshire over the years that I’ve often wondered what it might be like to ride one,” said Marcus Weeks, MVSB President. “Since moose are such an iconic part of our state, and with Meri the Moose as our mascot, it only felt right to turn that curiosity into something fun for the community. After all, who could resist the chance to saddle up a moose?”

April Fools! While an AI image of Marcus on a moose is entertaining, we want to emphasize that animal cruelty is no laughing matter. In honor of their commitment to animal welfare, we have made a $1,000 donation to the New Hampshire Humane Society.
