MVSB was proud to support the Carroll County Adult Education in Tamworth as the $5,000 premier sponsor of its recent Community Social Fundraiser event at Pope Memorial Library in Conway. The event brought together community members from across the Mount Washington Valley in support of adult learners.
Attendees enjoyed live music, raffles, and discussions with local vendors. Proceeds benefited Carroll County Adult Education, which provides high school completion, HiSET preparation, and English language instruction for adults across Carroll County.
“Access to education isn’t always a straight path, especially for those facing difficult family situations, mental health struggles or setbacks in conventional school settings,” said Jessica Ruel, Assistant Vice President, Branch & Business Development Manager at MVSB. “With funding becoming more limited, community support plays a critical role in keeping these programs available for those working toward a brighter future.”
“Many of our students come to us after experiencing barriers that made it difficult to stay in a traditional classroom,” said Crystal Sawyer, Director and Coordinator of Carroll County Adult Education. “We’re here to provide a supportive path forward, whether that’s earning a diploma, building language skills, or preparing for the workforce, and support like this helps make that possible.”
Through its programs, Carroll County Adult Education continues to make a meaningful impact across the region, helping individuals gain confidence, develop new skills, and move forward in both their education and careers. Go to carrollcountyadulteducation.com to learn more.
