MVSB proudly announces the 2026 recipients of the James D. Sutherland Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior from high schools located in communities where MVSB has a branch office.
This year’s recipients are:
- Jeweliana Gorham of Center Conway, daughter of Adam and Jennifer Gorham, attending High Point University.
- Angelina Healey of Moultonborough, daughter of Maria Healey, attending the University of New Hampshire.
- Tegan Hershey of Campton, daughter of Erin Hershey and Sean Slattery, attending the University of New Hampshire.
- Jenna Hodgman of Barnstead, attending Southern New Hampshire University.
- Gracie Hoyt of Laconia, daughter of Holly and John Hoyt, attending Lakes Region Community College.
- Kylee King of New Durham, daughter of Dawn and Scott King, attending Merrimack College.
- Anastasia Knutsen of Rochester, daughter of Douglas and Nancy Knutsen, attending the University of New Hampshire.
- Daniel McKenna of Moultonborough, son of Ally and Derek McKenna, attending the University of New Hampshire.
- Jade Nicolas of Gilford, daughter of Sara and Victor Nicolas, attending Harding University.
- Logan Schwalje of Stratham, son of Steven and Zoe Schwalje, attending Clarkson University.
- Jiles Tracz of Greenland, son of Evan Tracz and Tavus Begenjova, attending the University of New Hampshire.
The Sutherland Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of James D. Sutherland, who served as President and CEO of MVSB from 1982-1996. Scholarship recipients represent the MVSB company values of accountability, mutuality, excellence, respect, integrity, teamwork and stewardship.
