MVSB is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Ashland office with a month-long celebration honoring the community that has supported the Bank for a century.
Throughout August, MVSB will mark the milestone by supporting local businesses and surprising community members with random acts of kindness. Community members are also invited to visit the Ashland office at 5 Riverside Drive during business hours Aug. 17-29 for an anniversary open house featuring special treats, prizes from Ashland-area businesses and opportunities to celebrate the town’s history.
MVSB’s Ashland team members also selected Friends of the Ashland Town Library to receive a special $1,000 donation in honor of the anniversary, recognizing the library’s role as a center for learning, history, programming and community connection in Ashland.

“For a century, this office has been part of the everyday moments that make Ashland such a special place,” said Megan Piazza, Branch & Business Development Manager. “We’re excited to celebrate this milestone by honoring the people, businesses and organizations that have supported our office and helped shape the community we know today.”
When the Ashland office opened in 1926, Ashland was home to roughly 1,400 residents and known as a thriving mill and railroad community. Today, with a population of approximately 1,900 residents, Ashland remains a close-knit community where relationships matter and neighbors support one another. While the way people live, work and bank has changed dramatically over the last century, the importance of personal connection remains unchanged.
“Very few organizations have the opportunity to be part of a community for 100 years,” said Jill White, Regional Vice President. “We don’t take that for granted. We are grateful to the generations of customers, local businesses and community organizations who have allowed us to be part of their stories. Ashland is a community where people look out for one another, and this celebration is as much about the people who make this town special as it is about our anniversary.”
