Marcus Weeks: MVSB’s 10th President

We are excited to announce that, effective October 1, Marcus Weeks will assume the role of MVSB President. He replaces Richard E. “Rick” Wyman, who will be retiring after serving as President since January 1, 2016. Rick will remain in an advisory role through the end of 2022.

Marcus’ move represents a promotion from Senior Vice President, Senior Retail Banking Officer. “Marcus will make an outstanding President,” states Rick. “He has the skill set to lead MVSB to continued growth in the coming years, by supporting our neighbors with personalized service and customized solutions that enhance the vibrancy and well-being of our entire community.”

“Rick has helped me become a stronger banker and a more inclusive, empathetic leader; I am humbled to follow in his footsteps,” states Marcus. “Rick has skillfully positioned MVSB so that I will be able to focus on top-priority areas, including the continuation of customer-service and product excellence, as well as our committed engagement to the community. I look forward to nurturing the markets MVSB currently serves, while also exploring growth opportunities in other areas. The future is exceptionally bright for us and our customers – and I’m privileged to have the opportunity to lead MVSB forward.”

Marcus started his financial career at MVSB in 1995 at the age of 16, working as a student-teller at our Center Harbor Office. Over the next 25+ years, he has served as mortgage originator, business development officer and branch manager at MVSB’s Wolfeboro office.

Marcus currently serves on the Boards of the Lakes Region Visiting Nurse Association, the Boys & Girls Club of Central New Hampshire and Geneva Point Center.
