Warning: Fraudulent Debit Card Text Message Alerts
We have received several reports of local residents who are receiving fraudulent text messages from telephone numbers beginning with 844. The fraudulent message appears to be a “DebitCard Alert” and asks that the recipient call the 844 telephone number the text message came from. Individuals that do so are then asked to provide sensitive personal and financial information. Meredith Village Savings Bank does employ a fraud monitoring system that alerts customers by text message when an unusual debit card transaction is detected. Established in 1997, the MVSB Fund awards grant-based contributions to non-profit organizations that enrich and improve the quality of life for residents living in the Bank’s service areas. We are pleased to announce that John Nesteruk and Kaitlyn Sasseville each received MVSB’s Culinary Arts Center Scholarship for 2016. Nesteruk and Sasseville are recent graduates of the Huot Regional Technical Center/MVSB Culinary Arts Program as well as graduates of Franklin High School and Gilford High School respectively. Nesteruk and Sasseville both plan to study culinary arts in the fall. Nesteruk will be attending Lakes Region Community College and Sasseville will be attending Southern New Hampshire University. MVSB and Common Man Purchase Nearly $66,000 in CDFA Tax Credits from the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council
Meredith Village Savings Bank and the Common Man Family of Restaurants recently purchased $65,593 in combined tax credits from the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council (GCSCC) through the Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) of New Hampshire’s tax credit program.
