The Belknap County Sheriff’s Department is warning the public of a new scam using the Sheriff’s Department’s name. It has been reported that fraudsters are calling area residents posing as a Deputies for the Belknap County Sherriff’s Department attempting to trick victims into providing sensitive account information over the phone. Scam call recipients have reported being told that there is a warrant out for their arrest and that bond must be paid to avoid being arrested. MVSB Fund Announces Grants to Local Non-Profit Organizations
The Meredith Village Savings Bank Fund at New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has awarded $120,000 to 35 non-profit organizations. These include $99,000 awarded to 21 local agencies, and $21,000 donated to 14 area food pantries. MVSB Joins the Merrimack and MillRiver in Support of NH Jump$tart
Sister companies, Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB), Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack) and MillRiver Wealth Management (MillRiver) have joined together to support the NH Jump$tart Coalition. Belmont Middle School Invests in Makerspace with MVSB Fund Grant
Belmont Middle School has opened a new Makerspace designed for students, teachers and mentors to meet, create, invent and learn. This was made possible by the $6,000 grant the school received from the Meredith Village Savings Bank fund in 2017. The Makerspace offers 3D printers, a 3D scanner, software programs, electronic kits, craft materials and sewing machines that help students keep pace with the growing need for technical knowledge. MVSB & the Merrimack Gathered Mittens and Donated over $4000 to the NH Food Bank
Sister Banks, Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) and Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack), are grateful for members of the community who donated cold weather items to their annual Mitten Tree drives. More than 2,000 mittens, gloves, hats and scarves were collected and distributed to local schools and non-profits.
