Campton Elementary School Receives $3000 Health and Wellness Grant
Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) is excited to announce that Campton Elementary School is the winner of their “What’s not to ‘Like’?” Facebook Health and Wellness Grant Contest. Last fall, MVSB reached out to local school administrators and asked how they could benefit from an additional $3000 in resources to support wellness programs in their school(s). Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) has donated $5000 to Gilford High School’s FIRST Robotics team. The contribution will help offset competition registration fees and travel costs for the team. Thousands of Mittens Gathered for Community
Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) and Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack) wish to thank the members of the community who donated cold weather items, such as hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for the recent annual Mitten Tree drive. Over 2,000 pieces were collected and distributed to local schools and non-profits. Meredith Village Savings Bank Fund Announces Grants to Local Non-Profit Organizations
The Meredith Village Savings Bank Fund at New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has awarded $106,400 to 35 non-profit organizations. These include $92,400 awarded to 21 local agencies, and $14,000 donated to 14 area food pantries. Credit Card Interest Rate Reduction Scams on the Rise
Area residents are reporting an increase in fraudulent credit card interest rate reduction phone calls. According to these reports, the calls appear to be from a local number. Upon answering, a recording is played stating that it is a “final attempt at reaching you. We have been attempting to reach you regarding lowering the interest rate on your credit card. To speak with a representative, press one. To decline, press two.” If option one is pressed, the call recipient is transferred to a representative who offers assistance resolving credit card debt.
