Due to system maintenance, a service interruption is expected for the MVSB Online Mortgage Center on Friday, May 3rd. The down time is expected to occur between the hours of 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM. During this time, customers will not be able to access any portion of the Online Mortgage Center, including mortgage rates. We expect the Online Mortgage Center to be fully functional at 7:00 AM on Friday morning. If you have any questions, please contact us in the way that is most convenient.

$7600 Grant Will Support Phase Two of Trail Improvements at Quincy Bog in Rumney
Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) is pleased to announce that the charitable fund carrying its name has awarded a $7,615 grant to Rumney Ecological Systems (RES) of Rumney. These funds will be used by the non-profit to support the second phase of trail and boardwalk improvements along the Kent Ecological Trail at Quincy Bog Natural Area. About 1 mile in length, the Kent Ecological Trail takes visitors around the perimeter of Quincy Bog, through wetlands, sandy floodplain, areas of beaver activity and forest. Fund Grants Laconia Police $1000 for Cop Card Program
MVSB is pleased to announce that the charitable fund carrying its name has awarded a $1,000 grant to the Laconia Police Department. These funds will be put toward the Police Department’s “Cop Card” program. The Laconia Police Department’s “Cop Card” program was put in place in 1997. The cards, similar in style to a baseball trading card, contain a picture and biography of each Laconia Police Officer. Children throughout the community are encouraged to seek out their local police officers, introduce themselves and ask for their “Cop Card.” The program promotes a sense of community through positive interactions with local law enforcement. Fund Awards $1,500 Grant to Kidworks Learning Center
The MVSB Fund is pleased to announce a $1,500 grant to Kidworks Learning Center of Meredith. This donation will be used to make energy efficiency improvements at the Kidworks facility. “In a recent energy audit, areas of inadequate insulation were identified as contributing to heat loss in our childcare center,” said Jennifer Weeks, Executive Director for Kidworks Learning Center. “With this generous grant from the MVSB Fund, we will be able to address these insulation issues and purchase programmable thermostats to aid in fuel conservation. Making Home Affordable Program Deadline Extended To December 31, 2013
The deadline for the Making Home Affordable (MHA) Program, developed as part of the US government’s plan to help struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure, was recently extended through December 31, 2013. The Program has evolved since its creation and now includes several modification, refinance and foreclosure options for both homeowners that are at risk of foreclosure and homeowners that are able to make their payments, but who have not been able to refinance due to the sharp decrease in property values.
