The support will benefit three upcoming fundraisers, the Stiletto Sprint in Portsmouth, Mile for Mentoring in Gilford, and the organization’s Thankful Giving campaign in November. Meredith Fire Department to Present 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
The Meredith Fire Department will present a community remembrance ceremony and memorial dedication on Friday, September 11 to honor and remember the lives lost in the attacks of September 11, 2001. At noon, Meredith firefighters will walk from the Meredith Fire Department to Hesky Park, where the ceremony and dedication will take place before the memorial is relocated to the Central Fire Station as a permanent place of remembrance. Watch Out for Fake Debt Relief Programs
Scammers are increasingly targeting service members and others by pretending to offer help with debt. According to the FTC, these fraudsters often call out of the blue using official-sounding names and claiming connections to military-affiliated banks or credit bureaus. They may promise access to special “military debt forgiveness” or “veteran debt relief” programs — programs that don’t actually exist.
